We have decided that before we get heavy into the BETA test, that we’re going ahead with the planned server upgrade — just a little ahead of schedule.

We had planned that the server upgrade would happen just prior to going live and sending out invites to those who are first on the reservation list.  However, we had the opportunity to upgrade the server that Pegasaas runs on, a little ahead of schedule, so we’re putting BETA testing on hold while the migration completes.

The migration should be completed by end of day Wednesday September 27th.  BETA testing will continue after then, but will probably push back the go-live date to October 10th to give the new server a breaking in period.

But the wait will be worth it.

This new server is INCREDIBLE.  It should be able to handle a significantly higher load of requests, which will be important when handling the heavy lifting for the Accelerator WordPress plugin PageSpeed optimization tasks.
